Program Description

SAIL's Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program is provided in a clinic setting.
A wide range of services are organized within this setting that include screening
and assessment, diagnostic determination, individual and family counseling, crisis
intervention, group counseling, educational programming, client advocacy, and
referral to community resources.  Clients are seen by a qualified counselor who
assists in the assessment process and recommendation, as well as in individual
planning and care.  Services additionally include consultation with family and/or
professional care providers as well as ongoing communication and coordination
with the client's referral source.

SAIL's operating hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 9:00pm with groups both in
the morning and evening.

The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient program consists of two types. Clients
assessed to have a primary diagnosis of substance abuse with no other
co-occurring issues are placed in a substance abuse program utilizing the Matrix
Model.  Clients assessed with a primary diagnosis of substance abuse along with a
secondary diagnosis of mental health issues are placed in a Dual Diagnosis
program.  The Dual Diagnosis program utilizes the same Matrix Model, however,
there is additional discussion regarding mental health issues.  Process group also
allow for clients struggling with mental health issues to have a more open forum to
discuss those issues.  Education sessions in the Dual Diagnosis program have been
added to address the needs of these clients as well.
